Making a Lasting Impact: How Recurring Donations Help Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois

Becoming a recurring donor is a powerful way to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois (RMHCCI) and help us provide a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children. When you become a recurring donor, you commit to making regular, ongoing donations to RMHCCI, which allows us to plan ahead and serve more families in need.
By donating the following amounts in one year, you can provide the corresponding number of nights of stay for families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois:
- $10.50 per month = 1 night of stay
- $21.50 per month = 2 nights of stay
- $75 per month = 1 week of stay
- $150 per month = 2 weeks of stay
Follow these simple steps to become a recurring donor:
- Head to our Donate page at https://www.rmhc-centralillinois.org/donate/donate-donate/#qgiv-form. You can access this page from our website's main menu or by clicking the "Donate" button in the header of our site.
- Make sure to click “Recurring” and not “One-Time” at the top of the donation sheet.
- Fill out the information and you’re set!
- We will be in contact to keep you up to date on your impact.

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Setti, our COO, her husband Chris, their friends, and the West Bluff Soccer Club for preparing a delicious meal for our families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois! Not only does a warm meal provide comfort and nourishment during a difficult time, but it also brings a sense of community and support to our families. Nancy + Efrain's triplets were born prematurely at only 25 weeks in mid-October. But after 98 days, Sister Darleny was able to join Mom, Dad, and Grandma at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois. Her Brother, Derian, followed 9 days later. And after a long 129 days in the hospital, Brother Eithan was finally discharged and the whole family was able to go home! What a journey it has been for this amazing family.

Program Volunteers Needed

We are excited to invite you to join our team of Program Volunteers at RMHCCI! As a Program Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our program staff and make a meaningful impact on the families we serve.
At RMHCCI, we strive to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for families who are experiencing the stress and uncertainty of having a child in the hospital. Our Program Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal. Whether it's hosting the front desk, maintaining the kitchens and common areas, or assisting with special projects, your time and effort will make a real difference in the lives of our families.
There are many ways to get involved as a Program Volunteer. You can give of your time once or come on a consistent basis, depending on your availability and schedule. Our Program Volunteers come from all walks of life, and we welcome volunteers with a variety of skills and interests.
As a Program Volunteer, you might:
- Host the front desk/lobby area
- Maintain the kitchens and common areas
- Assist Meals from the Heart volunteers
- Sort donations
- Wash and fold House linens
- Assist with special projects
No matter what tasks you take on, you will be helping to create a warm and welcoming environment for our families during a challenging time. And as a Program Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to meet and work alongside other like-minded volunteers who share your passion for making a difference in the lives of families.

Congratulations to Terry Clark and the Pekin, IL store (1013 Court St) for winning the 2022 Round-Up challenge! They are the Round-Up champs and get to take home the belt!
We are thrilled to announce that in 2022, RMHCCI served a total of 8,319 nights, and Round-Up raised enough funds for 531 nights for our families. This is a huge impact, and we are incredibly grateful to the McDonald's crew and owner-operators.
Remember, every time you visit a local McDonald’s restaurant, you can help support RMHCCI families by asking to Round-Up for RMHC when you place your order on the kiosk or with a crew member at the counter or drive-thru. Those small donations add up and have the power to change a child's life. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Round-Up. Together, we can make a difference for families in need!

Celebrating #WorldSleepDay. We are grateful to announce that we have received a generous donation of new mattresses from Tempur-Pedic, and we want to give a big thank you to Rush Truck Center- Nick Hinds, Eduardo Rios Lopez, Nick Boblitt, Luke Selinger, David Pinkerton, Pickle Ball Pals- Doug Briggs and Kevin Davis, Todd P. Smith Commercial Real Estate- Todd Smith, Matt Bensko, Connor Johnson, the Springfield Police Department, and our RMHCCI staff for delivering and setting them up and hauling the old ones away. These new mattresses will provide our guests with the comfort and support they need for a good night's sleep, which is especially important for families staying with us during difficult times. Thank you again to everyone who made this possible!
